Warsaw's Eiffel Tower....sort of....
This is Warsaw's palm tree, which has become sort of an icon since its installation in 2002 when it was put up by the Center for Contemporary Art. It was never taken down, and in this respect, is sort of like the Eiffel Tower, which also was to be taken down after the World's Fair in Paris in 1889.
You can read the interesting history of this palm tree right here.

YANKEE IN NICE
Edit: pastis is a licorice-flavored alcoholic drinksimilar to Greek ouzo. My favorite drink as it is for many people in this area. No more ...

It rather looks like the real thing.
Thank you Pat. Love this.
The artist sounds like an interesting person. I thought the palm tree was real too :)
Well, it does appear to be related to our Florida palms but is clearly an imposter! Nevertheless, it is a symbol of sunshine and light and fun! Viva la palm!
