THE OLD MULBERRY TREE

This very old mulberry tree spreads its shade over the park next to where I live. I would love to hear the stories it has to tell. It is supported by two pillars that you can see on the right and just behind it.

From what I found on the Internet, the tree is around 200 years old.

As soon as I saw it I thought at least a couple of hundred years, it is magnificent Pat, I wonder if it still produces fruit 🍇

Amazing. Around here, in Texas, they are short-lived trees. I did see butterflies get drunk on the fallen fermented fruit once. At least, I think that's what was going on...they did fly off, a little erraticallly....Cannot imagine a mulberry with this girth.
