For quite a while I've been intrigued by the simplicity of haikus, an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually five, seven, and five syllables respectively. Originally, haikus related to a season, but evolved into creating a picture of a strong emotion or glimpse of a fleeting moment. If you check out the two haiku blogs on my Blogs I Visit column on the right, you won't be disappointed.
I decided that from now on (read: until I get really good or else terribly frustrated), I will write a haiku for each photo I post. You don't have to read it; it will be humbly inserted at the bottom of each post. You DO have to read this one, though, since it has to do with ABC WEDNESDAY. Here it is:
Serendipity
An eagle and a lion
Atop a big H.
