COFFEE TIME


 Given that the Turks were in many parts of the former Yugoslavia for nearly 500 years, it's logical that some of their customs remained.  Such is the case with 'Turkish' coffee.  The cups are not typical, but the little pot with a long handle, a dĹžezva (pronounced JEZZ-vah) is.  Here in Serbia though I have never seen one with a top, but imagine that it was added to keep the coffee hot. On second thought, it might belong to the teapot on the left, but couldn't fit on the shelf.
