Under watchful eyes...
Another juxtaposition for you. Couldn't resist this photo of three travelers asleep in Kalemegdan under the watchful eyes of the French Embassy's Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite. You might remember them from this shot.
It's an amazing shot. Kinda gives me the willies, though, 'cause it's reminiscent of fallen soldiers on a battlefield. Glad to know it's just folks sleeping. I'd think they might be in danger of being robbed.
I'm an American woman who's lived and worked in Serbia for over 35 years. I've come to love the people with all their idiosyncrasies, and created this blog to help break some of the negative press about Serbs. I take requests for photos!

trois statues en haut
trois statues en bas
That is definitely an irresistible shot Bibi, well done for spotting the comparison.
Great shot! Wouldn't it be funny if the travelers were French?
