Hand-painted ties!

Not like me to post such unusual shoes yesterday and not do a posting for the guys! This little hand-painted silk tie store downtown has been around for years, so the ties must sell! I have no idea what the TA on the cow one means, but the one on the right says in Cyrillic "Christ is risen" (It's an Easter tie!), and the brown one shows a little Belgrade sparrow, the city's symbol.

These are nice. I like the cow.

The sparrow is sadly on the decline in the UK. Still so many, but we really need to take care of them. Hand painted ties. So delicate and intricate. Serbians do seem to to be quite artisic.

Bibi, those are lovely. I have a doctor friend with a collection of ties like these ... they do sell, though I'd personally never spend that kind of money for a necktie.

And no, the Starbucks musicians were not there in the photo ... it was in the early evening.

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
