Impressions of Belgrade and Serbia and maybe photos from an in-country trip by a long-term ex-pat.

The smoke before the storm.
Snapped this photo the other night of a seemingly very bored cook who's having a puff on the deck of one of Belgrade's river boat-restaurants. It was early evening around 7:30, before the onslaught of patrons wanting to dine al fresco.
"Louis" has been (and will be for a while) up to his cowbell in work, so he's missed visiting Bibi the last few days.
Smoking in Belgrade must be as common as in Paris, no? Very different from the U.S. - or at least the Bay Area. Anti-smoking laws have made it difficult to light up anywhere.

She does look bored. The everyday ho-hums. Same thing just a different day.
Come see the great catch of the day, for me and someone else.
