Composition In Blue and Brown

I liked the color combination on these oil drums standing on a floating restaurant, and the matching rowboat.

I like the colors too, but what I noticed first is the lines - the brown boards of the building, the lines on the drums, the squares in the rowboat. Also the light caught in the corner and reflection of the boat.

I keep seeing your little photo on my journey around the blogosphere. I am disappointed now that I have not visited before this.

Wonderful combination of rusting metal and wood. There is just so much geometry to admire in your composition. And that one drum which is askance more than the others - perfection!

Bibi, this is one of my favorites of yours. Even though the objects are rough, I think it should be framed and hanging on a wall.

I like the glimpses of your world. This picture is softly colored. There are shadows and reflections and a quietness about it that is quite comforting to look at.

Very nice. I would like it though - I've just bought a T-shirt with the same colours!
