Skywatch Friday--The Flying Shark

I bet that a flying shark photo is some sort of first for Skywatch. The photo is actually of a kite in the shape of a shark, and it definitely stood out from all the other kites flying over Grovers Beach in California. The bottom photo is NOT of the kite that fell into the ocean, nor is it even a shark phot. It's a dolphin...I saw them leaping, but was unable to capture a leap, so I settled for the 'unsettling' fin.

I do like that flying shark very much. I like the notion of a shark so close to the camera too (even if it is a dolphin).

BOTH of these shots are super—each in their own way.

Oh look! You had me totally confused! I thought it was shark in the sky at first and I saw the second photo I started to look at the first photo. Thanks for the caption, now I can figure that.

I can safely say a flying shark is a Skywatch first. As for the dolphin I keep seeing shark fin and hearing a certain movie theme.
