Retro cups--REFLECTIONS WEEKEND

For me, these aluminum ice cream dishes and tumblers visible in the background mean both summer and my childhood. Although these are not the original vessels from which I enjoyed frosty drinks and cold desserts, they still bring me much pleasure. I love the frost that forms on them when they're filled with something cold.

Check out more REFLECTIONS on Reflections Weekend.

What a blast from the past. I grew up with the old colored aluminum glasses. They were the only ones my mother would let me use. She was right. I still drop drinking glasses. ;-)

I remember these, too!
I saw some (new) ones in a shop and almost bought them, but didn't, and have not seen them since.

Now there's a memory! We drank out of these when we were kids and I'm sure we thought they were special, but clearly they were reserved for us so we wouldn't destroy the "good" glasses. Very sneaky, Mother. And what a super photo, Bibi!

Great colors! I remember as a child, drinking cool grape juice from cups just like these when we were camping.

I've always enjoyed the bright aluminum glasses and still have one left from childhood, purple.

NEver had the bowls but loved the glasses. My mother and grandmother had little sock type things that went on the bottom of them to keep them from dripping. Great shot Bibi!
