Guess who's (not) coming to dinner....

I can't say I blame the passer-by for not wanting to come to dinner...the family looks quite bored and disinterested.

If you walk along Belgrade's pedestrian street, Knez Mihailova, and a few surrounding ones, you'll see reproductions of paintings from the city's National Museum, which, unfortunately has been closed for repairs for quite some time and is scheduled to reopen in 2012. If you'd like to read more about this (the translation isn't so good, but still...), click here. The article dates from 2009....

that's a novel way to keep the publics interest in the museum until it reopens.

I'm not dining there. Looks like the zombie family.

I hope that's not considered a Masterpiece.

Such an interesting picture and an interesting concept of having pictures reproductions on walls... Probably a family reunion, discussing "tricky" family matters.

Bored and flat .. sad looking group .. but thats sort of oddly nice to have artworks from a museum reproduced and posted on city streets/walls ..

Great capture of this street scene... how cool to put the reproductions where they can be seen, a gentle reminder that the museum will again open.

YANKEE IN NICE

Edit: pastis is a licorice-flavored alcoholic drinksimilar to Greek ouzo. My favorite drink as it is for many people in this area. No more ...
