Photo request" "Stepenice" (Stairs)

Like many of you, I often get photo requests, usually from Serbian ex-pats.  This one is for Ivana in Canada, who asked me to photograph Stepenice, her favorite restaurant in Belgrade. I'd never heard of it, but then Fate intervened when a friend suggested we go for a drink at this restaurant's outdoor terrace.  My friend had forgotten its name, but I was happy to learn it was Stepenice. We went there at night, but I returned the next day to take this shot....and up the stairs again!  :<)

Click on the link above for info about the restaurant.

Any more requests out there?

Love this spot.....especially when I walk downstairs (not up). It looks like we were there almost at the same time :)

Thanks so much for the photo and link.
Try to find "Ptica" restorant/cafe, (no stairs)
close to Bajloni farm market.
Not so many people know about it.
And have a wonderful time in my home town!

This reminds «Louis» of the stairs leading to Sacre Cœur on Montmartre in Paris.

I love the perspective (but that sure is a lot of stairs)!

It looks like a nice place...fascinating the way you found it! But was the food any good?

I remember this well. Those stairs are tough! The restaurant on the left was not serving because the "chef" was no where to be found. We ate instead at the place at the top right. :)

PICKLED RED ONIONS

My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
