MONDAY MURALS--Ilija Bosilj's Museum

Another road trip, this time to the northern town of  Šid  (Sheed) , where we visited two museums. The mural is on the wall of the museum and home of Ilija Bosilj, (EEEL-ee-ya BO-seel-ya) a Serbian naive painter who passed away in 1972.  If you read the above link, you'll find out more about him.

It does evoke old religious murals, in a different way!

Last Supper seems to be a popular mural theme - this one certainly wins on colour

I had not heard of him before! Thank you for sharing this and also for this from your profile: "...and created this blog to help break some of the negative press about Serbs." I am not Serbian, just interested in hearing...everything.
