I love seeing these MASCARONS on buildings. Originally they had the purpose of scaring evil away, but now they are purely decorative...or so they say.

REACHIING FOR THE SUN
This sunflower in the unkempt yard of an abandoned-doomed-for-demolition building makes one last stab at reaching for the sun.

They used to make things so elaborately and in stone too! Wow.
