Hairdresser, pedicure, waxing, artificial nails!

This is nearly a one-stop beauty shop where ladies can treat themselves to beautifying from head to foot! Judging by the sandals waiting patiently outside, I imagine that there's someone in there who's having her feet done just now. I've never had artificial fingernails, but am morbidly fascinated by the lengths I see some women wear. I read that artificial fingernails carry a risks of everything from fungal infection to allergies and even burns due to their increased flammability. Better use a potholder...

I believe that the longer the fake fingernails, the less likely it is that the dear does housework...

I have artificial nails. Because they are thicker than my own nails, I can garden with them and not have them break. However, if they get too long, typing is impossible!

I just had them briefly, for a special occasion. You'll get to see firsthand (so to speak) just how awful it looks if you don't keep it up!
There's a cashier at my local market whose nails are at least an inch long—I always think she's going to hit the wrong keys on the register and charge me $45 for a can of cat food!
