Comedian Jackie Gleason said "How sweet it is!" about Brooklyn on his show "The Honeymooners," but inhabitants of Hershey, Pennsylvania, America's chocolate town, believe it's sweeter here! I took a tour of the Chocolate Town Exhibit, which is a far cry (for the better, in a way!) of the tours I took as a kid. LOVE IT! I just took my son there last Thursday. We live only a couple hours away and make the trip several times a year just to "stock up" on chocolate. We always finish out chocolate tour & shopping with big slices of chocolate cake & cold milk. It is a relaxing get away for us both.
I would love to take a tour of a chocolate factory! It must be heavenly!

I heard the same thing B Squared did—that it's an olfactory experience just driving through the town. After the tour, they do give you some chocolate "on the house" to take home, right?

Alexa--yes, but only one tiny, tiny sample bar. When I was a kid, you got a handful, but I guess there were far fewer visitors then.
