Smile! You're (not) on Candid Camera!

A commenter on my post two days ago inquired if one should ask people before taking a photo. I answered her on that post what my experience has been. This is what happens to me when I ask for a photo! We had a chat about his cute Cocker Spaniel, and so I asked him if it was all right to take a photo. He was a really nice man, but you'd never know it from his expression. His dog looks like he's wondering why he's not smiling, too!

Still posting from The Big Apple, but will move on to Pennsylvania in a week or so.

He looks like he's growling! The man, not the dog!

I didn't notice the dog at first - I was too absorbed by the man's face - you actually couldn't of asked for a better shot if it was posed.

I remember watching you taking this shot and interacting with this guy and his sweet dog. This is great! The dog really does look like he wants to tell his owner, "Seriously, man, you've GOT to loosen up!"

Those expressions are too funny! Great shot regardless - or actually because of.

His dog looks like a stuffed toy.

and also I don't ask for permission. If I feel a photo would breach someones privacy I just don't take it or post it. Sometimes I'm hooting out in the open, sometimes more hidden and some times it leads to a conversation but mostly after the shot is taken.

ha ha that dog's face it terrific, his face is just terrifying. here in london, if you take photos of people, everyone looks at you in a mean and suspicious way....so i just don't dare.
