The Kilt Runner

I see a lot of guys wearing kilts here in Seattle.  They don't see me taking their photo, though.

Greta and her person

Bibi and I meet many dogs on our walks...and their persons, too. Greta, on the left, is all ready to play, while Bojana, her person, looks on lovingly.

Klara and Dita

You meet so many nice people when you have a dog, or maybe even if you don't. In my case, Bibi wanted desperately to play with little Dita (DEE-ta), but she was way too interested in a treed squirrel. Her owner, Klara, had to literally pry her off the ground to pose for this photo....but Dita's eyes haven't left the squirrel....

Weekend Reflection "Outside of a dog..."

American comedian Groucho Marx (1895-1977) once said, "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Perhaps this stray dog outside Belgrade's City Library is waiting to be someone's best friend...if that person doesn't pick a book instead.

ABC WEDNESDAY-- "P" is for "poodle's posh paws"

Taken in early September when the weather was warm. It hadn't even rained, and I wondered why this Poodle was wearing these shoes...

ABC WEDNESDAY: "M" is for "The Mutt and the Mouser"

Another guest photographer today. This time it is my daughter's friend, Muna, (another "M") who is contributing her pets' photo. Here you see Evander and his feline friend, GG.

For sure Evander is not a mutt, and I am not sure GG is a good mouser, but the M's fit today.

See other M's on ABC WEDNESDAY.

Not a truffle

Not even a glazed jelly doughnut. This is some sort of white/orange fungus, growing on a log in Hamlin Park in Seattle. Bibi is however, sniffing it with her 'truffe', the French word for both a dog's nose and a truffle!

Ram-rod straight

This Bassett Hound was sitting up sooo straight for his treat at the Queen Anne pet shop All the Best,
where not long ago Kim of Seattle Daily Photo took this photo. Even better, I ran into Kim herself there!

I bought Bibi a braided buffalo jerky treat....

Shaggy

Cute, huh? And he reminds me that I really need to go get a haircut.... I do my own chin waxing and brows...

Still in US for a family matter.

Riley waits

This is Riley, my son-in-law's dog. It's obvious that she loves to play ball, and is waiting patiently, dropping a big hint....

No Belgrade photos for several months...am in the US attending to a family matter.

ABC Wednesday "G" is for "golden"

Not real gold, nor even some kind of metal, or even a Golden Retriever. This dog, painted a golden yellow, adorns a large gate on a residence in downtown Belgrade. I believe that in art dogs lying down mean faithfulness, but am not sure. Anybody know?

Check out other G's on ABC WEDNESDAY.

No pink poodles, please

I love this sign that I photographed on the bakery shop at my local market. Usually the 'no dogs allowed' signs here show a generic dog, no features, all in black. So, who knows? Maybe this shop allows others, but no pink poodles.

ABC Wednesday "W" is for "winter wedding"

It's not only in June that couples get married, of course. This couple chose a rather wintry day for their wedding photos (not sure if they got married that day; sometimes photographers 'shoot' earlier), and they posed their little dog in each shot. I caught this spontaneous kiss as they moved on to another location.

P.S. As I posted this, I realized that the dog is a WEST HIGHLAND terrier, so that's another W.

See other W's on ABC WEDNESDAY.

Masha and Nikola

This is Bibi's new friend, Masha, a little mixed breed we met with her owner, Nikola. I was especially fascinated by her ears; don't you just love those long, straggly hairs?

1000!

This cute little pug in her winter coat seems to be saying, "What? Already?" when Bibi told her it was our 1000th post today.

I (along with Bibi, of course) would like to thank you readers for your visits these past thousand posts, and I'll hope you'll stay with me for at least as many more.

Cyber hugs to you all.

Hound in the hoosegow

This dog looked after Bibi and me so forlornly as we passed by him, all locked up in the 'hoosegow.' If you're not familiar with this word, which my grandfather loved to use, check out its meaning right here.

Note: He was in there with some workers, who were painting the interior of what will probably be a small shop.

Come on in; the water's fine! Reflections Weekend

That's what the 'wet' dog in this photo seems to be saying to his alter ego standing on the houseboat ramp. He didn't join his friend for a swim, but simply provided me with this photo for James'
Reflections Weekend.

FANCY NAILS

Sneaked this shot of a girl with fancy nails, totally oblivious to me in the bus. I can't help but wonder how she types or texts with t...
