Trees on tree

I'm really tired of stark trees, cold weather, and snow. I am beginning to understand why people move to warmer climates.... So, since I can't do that, I try to look at starkness differently. Did you notice that these are not really trees, but small branches growing sideways on the trunk of a tree. Tilt your head to the right and look...

Nice composition Bibi. I thought it might be saplings growing out of a nursery log.

Winter isn't forever, just too long. ;-)

I think you may need a vacation to a warmer clime...you could do that, right?

I mean, we don't want you to lose your mind. Upside down trees? Yikes!

Nah, I'm just kidding. This is actually pretty creative. Winter is the mother of invention, they say. No? Well, it was something like that!

Have a great week!

Le seul véritable voyage, le seul bain de Jouvence, ce ne serait pas d'aller vers de nouveaux paysages, mais d'avoir d'autres yeux .... [Proust, as you remember well]

Beautiful picture and such good advice at this time of year when it's cold and gray, and the spring thaw seems yet so far away.

I thought it was a pic of big naked trees until you cleared that up!

This looks like a set design for a play to me. I love the background.
& you are not alone, I'm sick of the cold too.

At least you're thinking outside the (wintry) box. Very nice—reminds me of a long-ago Christmas in a very small apartment, and instead of a Christmas tree we actually had a Christmas branch. We're all sick of winter, aren't we?

Bibi, glad you explained what we were seeing in this photo. I was trying to come up with a solution to the visual conundrum -:)

I know what you mean about being tired of your weather. We've had a mild winter ... so far ... but could certainly still get whacked before spring actually rolls around.

you created bonzais with your shot. Beautiful!
Are there still lots of lilacs in Beograd? The scent of them is spring to me.

While I prefer spring to winter, I do love naked tree branches and limbs.. to me they are very sexy

At first glance I thought this was a bonsai tree but now realise. Brilliant! Excellent to turn something on its side. Clever you. Love it. Hope it gets warmer for you soon. we had one glorious day two days ago. Today - cold and rain - this is so untypical for this part of the world so I'll join in your sentiments even if it's not as cold here as with you. xxx

THE ROOF CAVED IN....

Well, not the entire roof. Just the back side, which is not visible here. Every year I make a gingerbread house. Notice I said 'made,...
