REFLECTIONS WEEKEND--cellos waiting (Ooops--they're basses...)

Three cellos (and their friend the piano) patiently waiting to be played! Note: Leif said they may be basses...since I don't know much about musical instruments either, he may be right!

Check out other reflections on James' REFLECTIONS WEEKEND.

I'm sure that those are basses not cellos based on the tuning pegs and body size! I play violin and our 2nd daughter is taking Suzuki violin lessons now.
By the way, my Aunt Mary says that a preposition is a word with which one should never end a sentence...

Friend of my cousin use to carry the cello in her Yugo to her rehearsals. She just could not fit in the public bus!

Thanks, Leif. I Googled them and they looked like cellos, but then, I didn't Google 'base'! I am musically-challenged when it comes to recognizing instruments.

They are bass(same as the fish)fiddles and they are a handful. Thanks for such a musical reflection!

yes, they are basses. Cellos are much smaller.

These are beautiful. The scrolls alone are like sculptures

Nice one Bibi! The seats look like they're waiting to be sat on too. :)

Not the most portable of instruments, is it? But beautiful to look at—and to hear! Am back from Italy and playing catch-up (especially loved your abc post for "S," and thanks very much for helping out with mine).

A very unexpected one... Quite expressive, in its particular way... Nice sharing.

These are beautiful. There's something about a musical instrument that is totally fascinating. I suppose because we know the sounds it can make and the pleasure it can bring.
