SKYWATCH FRIDAY--gnarled tree and wintry sky

The title says it all! I love the colors here, which remind me of the painter Maxfield Parrish.

What an exquisite "tree portrait" with the bare gnarled branches. The other items in the scene give it a surrealistic look... It does look like a painting!

There is something about gnarly old trees that I'm drawn to. This one is right out of a scary movie or maybe the wonderful picture book, 'The Ghost Eye Tree" by Bill Martin, I think.
