SKYWATCH FRIDAY--gnarled tree and wintry sky

The title says it all! I love the colors here, which remind me of the painter Maxfield Parrish.

Check out more skies at SKYWATCH.

What an exquisite "tree portrait" with the bare gnarled branches. The other items in the scene give it a surrealistic look... It does look like a painting!

What an amazing tree. You couldn't wish for a more perfect shape. Those towers are interesting...And what a sky.

This photo could work as a cover for a Harry Potter novel...or some other mysterious bit of writing! Well done!

There is something about gnarly old trees that I'm drawn to. This one is right out of a scary movie or maybe the wonderful picture book, 'The Ghost Eye Tree" by Bill Martin, I think.

This is definitely vintage Parrish. What a beautiful capture and a gnarly tree means something to just about every one of us. Nicely done!
