SUNDAY BRIDGES--How can you miss it?

Not hard to see the tallest point of Belgrade's newest bridge, the Bridge Over Ada, even with this mishmash of architecture. This photo was taken from a hill in Zemun.

See other bridges at Louis La Vache's SUNDAY BRIDGES.

Great shot indeed. I've been missing Belgrade for 3 years, and it's kind of strange to see a part a new bridge. I love your blog. It makes me feel at home. Thanks.

WOW! This is one awesome shot. You cannot miss that high point of the bridge. Seeing the skyline of the city is lovely, too. genie

Mishmash is the right word, but I like it a lot! A jumbled up, confusing, disconcerting world is what we live in and this is a good photographic metaphor for that reality!

Its funny how everywhere the bridges these days are a construction of a concrete column with cables to carry the weight of the bridge deck. Has it something to do with the cheapest solution or also with the changing in design ideas. Perhaps a little of both.

There's a lot going on in this photo. The tip of the bridge reminds me of several bridges I recently saw in Charleston, SC and Georgia, absent that marvelous display of architecture in your photo.
