WEEKEND REFLECTIONS--Briefly back to Serbia Part II

The other day I posted a photo from Kovilj Monastery in Serbia because I had received a essage from a Serbian composer in the US who is interested in bringing several of the monastery's monks to NYC and Chicago this March to perform, singing medieval chants.

If you want to know more, here is the link.

Pictured at votive candles in the monastery's gift shop.

See other reflections on James' WEEKEND REFLECTIONS.

Votive candles are one of those things that was completely outside of my experience growing up- you just didn't see them in the churches I attended.

Very nice picture. Boy those monks must be old to remember songs from the Middle Ages! :)

What is your involvement in their NY and Chicago appearances?

Like the candle holders. Look like they would sparkle when lit.
