There were several of these statues in Kirkland, Washington, and I found them really attractive.

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....

You found them attractive because they remind you of a certain country on the other side of the world. I'd say it's pretty clear that Kirkland is going to pot!
