The stationary Trabant

The Trabant was the iconic symbol of the now defunct East Germany, and had the reputation of being uncomfortable, slow, noisy, and a heavy polluter.  You still see them around occasionally, like this one parked on a street near me. It's always in the same place, or one space ahead or behind, and never has a parking ticket on it.....

Don't you just love how the exhaust pipe is held on?

Happy Fourth of July to my American readers.

Given that it was from the former East Germany, I would be amazed if there are any at all in this country.

MORE CHEERFUL

My post yesterday was so dark, both figuratively and in reality. Here's one more from my baby Minox DCC 5.1, which is more cheerful.
