Yesterday a wise blogger reminded me, "Be careful what you wish for," when I had said I wanted snow. But Belgrade did get some snow yesterday, just enough for a White Christmas (western Christmas anyway, since the Serbs celebrate on January 7th). It was quite pretty, but I didn't go out much, since Bibi is scared to death of firecrackers, and though there's been a crackdown on them here, they're still illegally available around town, and kids buy them. Bang.

Hah! Told you to watch out :))
This is a wonderful view, and I assume since you didn't go out much it might be from your apartment? If so, then I deem you very lucky indeed.
A very tranquil view....poor Bibi. She must still be traumatized from the bombings. I know that firecrackers have the same effect on my nieces.
I hope you had a good Christmas... one more to go. I love celebrating two of each. Looking forward to more time off spent with family & friends.
Cheers, Branka
Bibi -- what a beautiful image! (Looks like just the right amount of snow too.)
How beautiful and with those pinpoints of light. So pleased you got your wish. Happy Christmas, dear Bibi.
Note: I agree with you about the group of climbing santas being rather creepy!
Our snow was just enough to be able to call it a white Christmas and it melted by evening. :)
Happy New Year!
One definitely needs a few good shots of rakija before venturing out on New Year's Eve, it's nerve wracking with all the m80's going off!
Gorgeous image! So pretty! Happy Holidays!
That is a lot of snowfall for one day - makes for a very tranquil scene. Hope Bibi makes it OK thru the noisy holiday season.
Nice wait to get that lone walker. Gorgeous BW!!!
Love this shot. The black and white, the points of light, the lone walker right smack dab in the middle of the field. Beautiful and lonely.
For me who has has a wet grey windy Christmas this is a beautiful image.
