Something to remind you...

My wedding guests have all but gone, taking with them fond memories of the wedding and Serbia. They've also taken along a few souvenirs, such as those seen here. The little sparrow, symbol of Belgrade, is wearing a typical Serbian hat, the šajkača, and there are models of typical dwellings and a church behind him. All, including the cute little guy with the candle, are standing on a runner with a pattern of rugs made in Pirot in southeastern Serbia.

I thought you had made the runner!

These are adorable! I'm sure all the wedding guests had a very special time in Belgrade—imagine it was fun for you to have them all there too. Did the newlyweds take a honeymoon (and if so where)?

These are all delightful. I really like the sparrow. Is it a usual tradition to give away gifts at a wedding?

Charming souvenirs. A nice way to remember a charming wedding...

Hi. Gaelyn, I did give little 'favors,' which you can see right here

This is more of a new 'tradition.'

I want every one of them. I know what to ask for next time my relatives travel there...or I might just come and buy them myself.

CROSS-CULTURE BREAKFAST

Have been in India one week. I brought my hostess some ajvar, which she found goes very well on a chapati.
