I was going to be a smart-alec and say some older people have no sense of fashion, but I rather like the sweater/jacket!
And then I remembered my own closet and must agree with you: Some of US elderly do have a great sense of fashion. I sported a bright green golf shirt with green khaki shorts this morning. You should have taken a picture of that.
