On my way to visit friends on San Juan island. The ferries still are magical to me. Notice the flag is at half-mast, most likely for Rosalyn Carter's passing.
Impressions of Belgrade and Serbia and maybe photos from an in-country trip by a long-term ex-pat.

GET TATTOOED!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THANKSIVING?
I love Halloween. It's a fun holiday. My favorite holiday though is Thanksgiving. No hype, close family at most tables, non-denominational, and no presents. I think I have answeredmy question about why many stores don't carry inflatable turkeys or Pilgrims. Thanksgiving is not a major money-making holiday like Christmas and Halloween...sad, but true.

See other 'Favorite Places' on CITY DAILY PHOTO THEME DAY.
