ABC Wednesday "I" is for 'incongruous'
Stefan Nemanja (1109 – 1199) was a Medieval Serb nobleman. He established control over the territories of neighboring Serb states, and unified them into a single state. He founded the Nemanjić dynasty and became recognized as an Orthodox Christian Saint (Simeon) after numerous miracles following his death.
This photo shows the Church of Saint Simeon currently under construction in New Belgrade.
"Incongruous" indeed, with the juxtaposition of posters for the group Slipknot's upcoming visit to Belgrade. "All hope is gone," say they, but churches claim that there's always hope.

Oh, Lord have mercy is right!! What a great photo! And it is a crazy combination!! Thanks!
incongruous, interesting and inventive.

Oh Lord, have mercy!
WTF? This is insane! Why did they post that on whole wall arround the church? One wasn't enough? I'd like to post it in my blog if I can.
Such a great shot!
Great eye for the incongruous and insane eye candy on the wall.
Indeed, incongruous! Nice capture!
Incongruous! I always love your ABC posts!
Well now I'm glad I wasn't around for this week's letter. This would have knocked mine into a cokced hat. Inspird I. Slipknot wannabees are even here too.
I think it's too bad that they're building this church.
I liked that communist-created New Belgrade was entirely without churches.
Should have stayed that way.
