Theme Day--"Big"--It's all relative...

Hummingbirds are anything but big, but hey, it's all relative. Our little birdie seems quite large in comparison with the bee, who's probably interested in the sweet nectar, but won't risk being swallowed in trying to get it.

Today Bibi ends her USA tour, and will be back tomorrow to show you photos of Belgrade!

Bibi, when we were in Siena we saw hummingbirds in the garden that weren't much bigger than bees ( large bees, but bees nonetheless). It looked like they had eyes painted on their backs. My son said they were put there to discourage predators.
Love this shot!

What a shot, Bibi. Just perfect to illustrate today's theme. I love hummingbirds. We don't have them here but I well remember them in northern Australia.
