Theme Day--"Big"--It's all relative...
Hummingbirds are anything but big, but hey, it's all relative. Our little birdie seems quite large in comparison with the bee, who's probably interested in the sweet nectar, but won't risk being swallowed in trying to get it.
Today Bibi ends her USA tour, and will be back tomorrow to show you photos of Belgrade!

SUNSET
A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....

Bibi, when we were in Siena we saw hummingbirds in the garden that weren't much bigger than bees ( large bees, but bees nonetheless). It looked like they had eyes painted on their backs. My son said they were put there to discourage predators.
Love this shot!
Fantastic! Well done! Cheers mate!
He does have a big beak for a little bird.
Beautiful silhouettes! Have a nice trip.
Mmmmm.. sugar water! It certainly is relative clever lady!
What a shot, Bibi. Just perfect to illustrate today's theme. I love hummingbirds. We don't have them here but I well remember them in northern Australia.
Like you say, it is all relative! Great shot, nice choice for today.
Seems the birds have it for some of us today, Bibi! Love your choice for the theme with hummer and bee. It IS all relative. I'm a softie for silhouette photos anyway. Great shot!
It all depends upon your point of view, doesn't it?
And compare to all other birds he has a big beak !

I like this photo of the hummingbird and bee, good silhouette shot.
