A 'grate' work of art

I can see this hanging somewhere in an art gallery. "Such lines....such composition....," people would exclaim. However, this 'grate' work of art is just that....a grate on the sidewalk that hasn't been cleaned in a loooooong time.

The lines, the composition and what is says of society. Which museum did you say it is in? ;)

There are a few people I would like to offer this kind of picture to hang above their desk for meditation!

I think that I saw something like this at Palais de Tokyo in Paris! Just kidding, but I agree with Thérèse.

Great photo that makes a statement: Clean up after yourselves, people!

You have such a grate eye for the abstract and unusual. Should be for a litter campaign.

I can't much look at this one because I so don't like cigarettes and cigarette smoke.

However, your banner photo is spectacular!

hmmmm.....
This looks suspiciously like the mess one of «Louis'» chain-smoking aunts would have left. Not surprisingly, she died of lung cancer...

All I can say is, "Yuk."

At least someone can find some beauty in the fact that Belgrade is a disgustingly filthy city.

Doot, sorry that you cannot see beauty in things that are per se not beautiful.

I've lived and traveled in some cities that are less than squeaky clean and have been well worth the experience.

Nicely done, Bibi! Our world is not a "squeaky clean" place. Sadly we, the caretakers are mostly responsible. Nevertheless, a wonderful image, well composed and quite provocative!!

Most places I tread are NOT squeaky clean... but oh so interesting! Now, which museum did you say I could find this piece of art? :-)

I am exclaiming those very things now!

You really do have an amazing "eye," Bibi! (Though I love the way Gaelyn expressed it) And I've seen less worthy compositions in plenty of museums! :~}

PICKLED RED ONIONS

My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
