WEEKEND REFLECTION---classic cookware updated
Metal enamel cookware, made in Gornji Milanovac, Serbia, has been around for a long time. I still have an old red pot with white polka dots that reminds me of the old Yugoslavia....I saw one in a museum recently.
Metalac even has a Facebook page for those of you can read Serbian.

PICKLED RED ONIONS
My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I. Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...

I love that old enamel cookware. I have my Mom's ancient roaster, blue with white spots.
I'd love to see a picture of yours too Bibi.
I was going to say what Lily said! It would be lovely to cook with such colorful cookware.
Those pot must be the best for cooking... Nice catch on the reflection !
Don't see much of that anymore...or, at least I don't. But it was ubiquitous when I was growing up and I always liked it.
