SKYWATCH--The Space Needle and Chihuly

You'll recognize the Space Needle for sure, but perhaps not the glass (yes, glass) succulent, of which I was only able to capture from this angle.

Took this photograph the other day when I went to see the Dale Chihuly exhibit at Seattle Center. It was absolutely fantastic, and I'll post another tomorrow for Weekend Reflection. See other skies on SKYWATCH.

Nice shot. We went through the Chihuly museum last summer. A wonderful experience to be sure.

This is a lovely perspective on the iconic Space Needle (which we'll be getting to see for ourselves next month!), and I NEVER would have guessed that succulent was made of glass! They way they're both reaching for the sky, the glass succulent looks like a little kid, trying really hard to be as tall as its parent. :-)

Thank you so much for bringing the Chihuly exhibition to our attention, we will definitely make it a priority to visit it during our very brief stay in Seattle (less than 2 days before we're off to Victoria, BC and then Whidbey Island. Can't wait!!)

Great composition. Did you go to the top? I did not when we were in Seattle. Don't like heights. So I take photos.

What a great opportunity to see two great icons at once. What a talented man. I had a chance to engage with Dale at a Very Special Arts program, held at the Milwaukee Art Museum , for kids with disabilities. He eve squirted paint on my shorts as I was walking by to help a kid. Should have asked him to autograph it...

Great shot—and I love Chihuly's work too. Saw a program once about how he does what he does, and I still don't know how he does it!

How intersting!!! And I love the angle of the photo! Especially of the needle...not how we usually see the needle!

WHITE TAXIS

How dull. Starting today, May 8th, all taxis must be white to comply with EU standard. Serbia is not even in the EU (yet...), but looks lik...
