At an exhibit of vintage objects a few weeks ago, I came across this window in the museum with a figure that reminded me a lot of the Belgian surrealist, Rene Magritte, whom you can see in the bottom photo. No one was around to explain this figure's presence or why he seemed to want to enter through a window. Unexpected juxtaposition is one of the characteristics of surrealism, so perhaps someone who set up the exhibit wanted to see if anyone 'got it'. I did, I guess.

Yes,windows were a frequent theme to Magritte
Quite peculiar!
Looks like Renee to me. A tip of the bowler to the master. We saw a Magritte show at MOMA in New York in December. Way cool.
What a great capture Pat.
I love this! Obviously, he's a high-class jewel thief with a talent for going through walls and windows! But just wait 'til Inspector Clouseau gets on the case!
Love this shot!!! Very surreal!!!
And, conventions be damned! Perfect reference to Magritte.
