I''ve always wanted to capture the lightning, as they are also furious sometimes when i am looking at my 5th Floor Window. However, i haven't tried using the tripod, so next time i will quickly mount the camera and set to burst mode.

So that's how you do it. I bought a lightening shutter you put in the camera's hot shoe - not expensive - but have not had a chance to try it out.

PICKLED RED ONIONS

  My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
