WEEKEND REFLECTIONS---linden tea

Linden tea is delicious; almost as delicious as the linden trees' blossoms are fragrant. The latter saturate the air with a heady, sweet fragrance anywhere from end of May through the beginning of June.
Linden trees are sometimes called lime tree or lime bush, but are not closely related to the trees that produce limes.

Here is a recipe for linden tea.

A new one to me. I hadn't heard of linden before.

Perhaps I have seen a linden tree, but, if I have, I have not been aware. Not familiar to me, in other words. The tea looks interesting but the link includes a caution about drinking too much of it and its affect on one's nervous system. That would make me pretty reluctant to indulge!

I can't imagine the aroma or flavor of linden. We've walked down Unter den Linden in Berlin a few times but the traffic overwhelms the trees.

Not familiar with Linden trees (to my knowledge) but the way you describe the tea it reminds me of the sweet green tea I had when in the Navy at a Morocco stopover.

I know the trees and the tea. :) It's great to drink hot when you have a flu. The tree used to blossom in the end of June and beggining of July here in Lithuania. But it started earlier this year.
