SKYWATCH--Comin' down!

I have the haunting feeling I've used this photo before, but I discovered it in a stash of my old photos here on the computer I used while at my daughter's here in Seattle.

Anyway, I always try to imagine the thrill these people experience, not that I would ever want to try parachuting.

Making bracelets

An archive shot for you, from some Seattle photos I found on my daughter's computer that I use while here in Seattle.  Don't know if this artisan I photographed a few years ago is still at the Pike Place Market.

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY--the stamen

You can tell I have been pretty much housebound here in Seattle, helping my daughter with her new baby.  I pinched a magnolia blossom from the tree in her yard, and here's the stamen and its shadow.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS: In the kitchen window

These orchids are having a look at themselves in the kitchen window.

A taste of 'home'

I'm still in Seattle and won't be back in Serbia for a while, but tonight my daughter and family had guests, so I made Serbian-style stuffed peppers.....yum.  Only two left out of ten. Nine in the photo; # ten couldn't fit in the pot, so it was baked by itself.

Early spring

No posts for a long time...busy with little granddaughter and no time to wander around taking photos.

My daughter has a magnolia tree in her back yard....the top photo was taken about ten days ago, and the bottom shows the tree today....it is really impossible to show its beauty.

Bear with me...may not be posting for a long time; only sporadically.

THEME DAY--AGING

Although I am currently in Seattle, I've been a bit housebound due to daughter's new baby, so I'm posting this photo from last winter in Belgrade.

Aging isn't for sissies, so they say, and it's even harder for some.

ABC WEDNESDAY--"G" is for "grandma again'

Little Nina,  8 lbs 7 oz, born Feb. 23rd, is the reason I haven't been posting on frequently....hang on.  I'll be back.  Nina is # 4 grandchild for me, gosh....

SKYWATCH--early morning

Not so terribly early, but earlier than I'm usually up nowadays.  Fifth Avenue in Seattle, with the monorail track on the right and two red lights straight ahead.

Twice Sold Tales

Twice Sold Tales is one of my favorite used bookshops in Seattle. It's jam-packed with all kinds of books, and they're organized really well. I have often been lucky to find just what I'm looking for and then some. The shop used to be in the University District, but has moved to Capitol Hill, where I stumbled upon it. The owner is a cat-lover, and though I am not, I fell for this orange cat. It must have liked me, too, since when I was paying, it padded right over to me, put its nose right smack on mine, then gently climbed on my shoulder and around the back of my neck.  Kind of creepy, but pleasant at the same time....

COUCHER DU SOLEIL SUR LES TOITS

Well, you can't keep a good blooger down. Said I wouldn't be posting for a while since I am 'out of town, ' but here I am.....
