MY FAVORITE CAFE

 This lady runs a cafe where I often go just to brainstorm, write a bit. In the winter I sit inside, albeit masked, and nowadays I sit outside. She has picked up all kinds of bric-a-brac to decorate her place, and in some ways it reminds me of my grandmother's house....

TRYING TO COOL OFF IN THE PARK

 Took this shot on the sly the other evening.  They were watching a kid playing with my dog just behind me. I hope these folks got cooled off a bit, but it was hot....

"MY LOVE IS LIKE A RED, RED ROSE"

 A lovely comparison to be sure, but I am always disappointed that most roses these days have absolutely no scent.  This one was no exception.

WAITING

 I don't know for certain, but I imagine this family may be some of the foreigners who came to Serbia recently to do a bit of 'quarantourism'.  Most were/are Indian nationals who cannot fly directly to their destinations from India. Most of those have jobs in the Middle East, whereas others want to visit families in the US, Canada, or elsewhere.  They stay here ten days (tested, of course), then are tested again and move on.

Same public fountain as the gypsy boys were enjoying, but at the other end. These young women were doing some sort of photo shoot. 
 

"COME ON IN, THE WATER'S FINE"

 Need I say again that this summer here in Belgrade has  been scorching, more days than not. I am not one of those who goes to the river to dip in and cool off, nor to public pools now with possible non-vaxxers there, so I'm stuck.

But should I ever cast my fate to the wind, I would join these gypsy boys who have no qualms about just hopping right in this large public fountain. Not one passer-by said anything, but also looked at them enviously.

And yes, I found them and gave them a copy of the photo.
