 I thought of THIS SIXTIES' SONG  when I saw this pair stroll by in Seabrook, Washington, just before Halloween.

THEME DAY: MY FAVORITE PLACE IN TOWN

 

I am not in Belgrade for a while, so cannot photograph my favorite place there. In Seattle, I rummage through thrift shops. This is of course not a thrift shop, but a neighborhood Little Lending Library operating on a 'take one-leave' principle. And occasionally I do.

When I first saw this huge cat (bigger than my dog), I immediately thought of Robert De Niro's classic line from Taxi Driver. 

Haunted...

My granddaughter poses iver this haunted house we put together from a kit. In Belgrade for Christmas, I make a gingerbread one from scratch. This one is a chocolate cookie one and I am sure it will taste good.

ONLY FOR SMURFS

 A family of these highly toxic mushrooms sprouted up by the curb on a neighboring street. Pretty, but possibly deadly. Only for Smurfs.

CHOCOLATE....

 

Seattle is known not only for its many coffee shops, notedly Starbucks  (which is not my favorite) but also for its chocolate. Went out to dinner with two friends last night and we shared this sinful German Chocolste cake with caramel sauce and crispy almonds.
