These are a few of my favorite things...

Ah, who says you can't go home again? In Pennsylvania I enjoyed tasting some of my favorite foods from my youth....they just tasted a bit different, or is it my tastebuds that have changed? In any case, here you see the sandwich-meat-of-my-youth, Lebanon bologna, the sweet kind, a pack of Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets, and in the back, a bottle of Birch Beer! (For those readers not familiar with Birch Beer and its relative, Root Beer, they're not alcoholic beers, but rather brews originally made from bark/roots, more like soft drinks now.)

Can you guess which treat I was most anxious to taste...?

They must taste different cause the food you eat in serbia isnt packed with all the garbage americans put in the food. hehehe

Aaaah, childhood treats! Was it the Tastycake you couldn't wait for? Is that why the package is already open? But that's one of the perks of adulthood—you CAN have dessert first!

Lol! Probably a little bit more of preservatives and colorants in food in between past and present.

Hi Bibi!
I see you couldn't wait to get into those cookies! Not a bad price either!

I've never had a Tastykake - I don't know what I've been missing. When we 1st moved to US, my parents & I went to Grand Central Market in LA & they ordered beer. Well, the beer turned out to be root beer :0

OMG, OMG, OMG, put some apple butter in there and you have all my mom's absolute must haves! She actually had relatives ship her Tastykakes and Lebanon Bologna out to her Mojave desert home! I haven't thought of Birch Beer in years. These are the foods of my childhood.

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
