Yesterday we fed the birds, now we're feeding me....and a few friends. When I'm in the US, I like to eat foods that are not readily available in Belgrade, like blueberries. Very few here, if any; never seen blueberries on the Serbian markets. Anyway, I made the blueberry pie on the right for my contribution to a dinner at my future in-laws' home. (Remember, daughter's getting married in Belgrade September 19th!)
(I'll be back posting from Belgrade on September 2nd.)

They both look delicious but the blueberry pie wins hands down!
Omigod! These make my mouth water. I think you will be a big hit at with your future in-laws.
Scrumptious photo! I love blueberry pie! Hope you'll post some Belgrade wedding pics ....
Cool Blog....from a "Belgrade citizen in Yankee land". I was born in Belgrade and I still have family in Serbia, but have lived in the US since 1984. Its like you were transplanted there and I was transplanted here.
Who cares which one you made! Which one did you eat?
Also, blueberries are a North American fruit, so that's probably why they're not readily available in Belgrade or the rest of Europe for that matter. They even have a relatively new cultivation process over here.
Yoork, I had a piece of both, but the Key Lime pie on the left, though good, is just a bit too 'airy' for me...
I'd be with you, Bibi. Go for the blueberry pie. Looks fabulous. Clever you.
How about a slice of both. The tartness of the key lime is a perfect compliment to the sweetness of the blueberry. Mmmm.
Our neighbors in Ca introduced us with eating blueberries directly our of the freezer: delicious.
I would try both pies of course.
Gorgeous pies, and I know the other one is lemon ice box pie, right?
Can't wait for wedding photos. I love weddings!!!
V
yummy...and gosh is the wedding that sooon?
Blueberry pie. Yum Yum! Blueberries are failry new here too but I just can't get enough of them.
Your pie looks SOOO delicious! Key lime pie probably tastes best when actually eaten in Key West :~)
BTW, I'm also looking forward to a wedding photo!
I want to taste that! I have never had blueberry pie, although I have had them fresh or glazed on a custard tart. Blueberries have been in special abundance this month, with good prices at the market. The kids here love to pop them frozen into their mouths (less staining according to some moms). I had lemon meringue blueberry pie recently, a local pastry chef's answer to the summer abundance. I love your pastry flowers.
I'll have a slice of each please :-)
