Smoked chicken buttock!

Bet you never even knew chickens had buttocks! The 'buttock' in question here is an inaccurate translation of 'batak,' which is a chicken (or any fowl) leg. If you don't like smoked chicken buttocks, you can perhaps order an Uno Burger with 'union' and mustard or a smoked 'ramsteak.' I've had lamb and mutton, but never 'ram'... :)

All joking aside, Grill Uno makes delicious hamburgers and grilled meat sandwiches, no matter what they're called, with all kinds of toppings, and they're open 24-7!

I haven't had breakfast yet and looking at this post my stomach is grumbling about it! I'll probably leave the chicken buttocks till later, though.

Looks really yummy unless you're a vegetarian, which I'm not. Ramsteak, huh? In Colorado we ran into buffalo meat. Didn't try any, though. Maybe next time.

Have a great week!

Good to know that you can get smoked meats at any hour of the day or night! Seriously, now that we've all had a good laugh, I think maybe B Squared has a point. Has anyone ever told them what their sign really says, I wonder.

Glad you cleared that up! In Paris they had a salad that had been translated to have "dung goat cheese". Turned out to be turkey. I nicely as I could told the waiter what DUNG was en anglais. He couldn't believe it!

Hello, readers! I was tempted to tell the owner about the mistakes, but in some way I felt sorry for this nice guy. His sign inside and out is painted, and not with little stick-on letters and I imagine he'd have to change the whole thing....maybe I will, though, when I get to know him better...a few more buttock sandwiches and maybe...

Chicken buttock .... sounds great! When I order out for friends (during fast food moments), and they request "chicken chests," I always chuckle. They do it on purpose. The francophones love to "rib" the anglos here (in Quebec).
