Plums=fresh, jam, juice, dumplings, brandy.....
Plums are Serbia's pride and joy. Aside from being eaten right off the tree (I like mine crisp and slightly sour), they're made into juice, jam, dumplings like these I've shown you before, and of course, plum brandy.
The happy plum in the second photo is my doing. That's what you do without Internet in the village where these were photographed.
How do you like your plums?

PICKLED RED ONIONS
My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I. Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...

Plum dumplings but only with a special sort-Madžarka, small and sweet plums.
It's a wonderful time for late summer fruits. Love this.

not a huge fan of plums,but i do like the green gage
Beautiful! I like mine in their purest form, but super-sweet.
I've never had a plum as good as the ones we used to pick off the tree in our back yard when I was growing up!
The best.
