Two girls from Turkey

I often get asked for information while walking and so it was a short while ago in Kalemegdan Park when the girl on the right asked me where the mosque was. I knew, so I offered to walk them in that direction.  These two young girls, whose names I neglected to get, were students of architecture in Bosnia and had come to Belgrade for a few days.

I left them my card, so girls, if you see this, write to me at my email address and I'll send you your photos!

With everything that happened in the Balkans, as a Muslim woman who wears the veil, I would be mortified to stroll through the streets of Belgrade. These two are gutsy! Thank you for pointing them in the right direction.

Anonymous, I have seen a number of Muslim women in headscarves around town, with or without their husbands, and no one bats an eye.

@Anonymous

I have no idea why would you say something like that, I have yet to hear of a Muslim being attacked in Belgrade for any reason especially being Muslim.

You are not very much informed about Serbia or what has happened in the Balkans as you say, it's good you visit this blog as you just may find out how wrong you are.
