The Avala Tower

The Avala Tower is a 204.5 m tall telecommunication tower located on Avala  mountain  near Belgrade. It was destroyed in during the NATO bombing of 1999.  On December 21, 2006, the reconstruction of Avala Tower began and the tower was officially opened at a ceremony on April 21, 2010. It is currently the tallest tower in Serbia and the Balkan region.

If I don’t change the banner by the time you read this, the tower is visible there!  Read more about and see the new version of the tower right here.

(This photo right here shows part of the nearby monument to the Unknown Soldier...
plus an amazingly cute dog.)

Love this shot! And the tower. But most of all the wee dog, who is, as you said, amazingly cute. Hi Bibi!

Me again. I don't know an Aquarelle. What I used was a Photoshop 'action," but I'm not even sure of the name of it. It was a water color action of some kind. Sorry!

Great shot! Did you take it from up in the tower? I love the little red-roofed houses marching up the hill.
