PICKLED RED ONIONS
My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I. Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...

Absolutely wonderful!
Interesting to see the imprints of the canonballs...when in Normandy, the craters from bombs dropped were still evident...it gives one an eerie feeling...and a realization of the experience...
The angle of your shot gives us some idea of just how imposing this must have looked to the enemy—they'd need cannonballs at least!
