Seattle's Seven Hills

Seattle boasts seven hills. This photo of a mosaic column was taken on Queen Anne Hill.

I always think of Rome when I hear 'seven hills,' but it appears that there are quite a few cities that claim to be built on seven hills. Check out this link.

Love the mosaic. The view is also nice on Queen Anne.

Oh wow! So it's often better to check when we think something...

Very interesting! I've actually been to 9 of those cities, but only thought of Rome at first.

So many hills, so few cities. That's the hill of it.

Sorry, can't help be silly when I read about communities who think it is somehow special to be built on 7 hills. What about those built on 10 hills? 20 hills would be magical! :)

Yeah, I know, "7" is often a "sacred" number.

I like the column! Are you having fun?

I pass that and it's twin every week and have tried getting a good shot of either, but none I've liked yet. They are really well done mosaics, aren't they.

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
