SUNDAY BRIDGES: Bridge Bumps

It's become common now to say that a pregnant woman has a baby bump, and for some reason, I don't like that expression.  This bridge, leading into the fortress on Kalemegdan Park, has a bridge bump, due to, I imagine, excessive water absorption.  Not surprising with all the rain we've had....

See other bridges on Louis La Vache's  SUNDAY BRIDGES.

Bridges, roads, and baby bumps. . .they certainly are not the same. Two are annoyances but the third is joyous. I share you disdain for including babies among the bumps.

I'd say excess fluid features in both bridge and baby "bumps." (I don't really like that expression either—why is that?)
